Amazing Stay with Fine Views!
The early check-in was a lifesaver for our ferry schedule. We got an upgrade! The Thatcher room had amazing views of the loch and a cozy claw bath right by the window-perfect for sunsets. Breakfast was yummy, but the bar service was a bit slow at times.

Islay House offers a fine location with amazing views of the coastline. The staff were affable and provided excellent hospitality. The room was spacious and well-appointed, awesome for a comfortable work stay. The attention to detail in the hotel's decor and ambiance contributed to a pleasant atmosphere.
The dining options were somewhat limited and the check-in experience was less cute.

The hotel is beautifully situated with fine ocean views. We had a good dinner at the bar, where the drinks complemented the ambiance perfectly. My son loved exploring the grounds.
My kids wished the staff greeted us more warmly, especially since we arrived a bit lost. A friendly welcome would have. It would be great if they could improve on this.

The Queen Room with Garden View offered a reasonably inviting atmosphere with decent space to unwind. Being a couple on a night away, we actually enjoyed the view of the garden, which brought a bit of nature into our stay.
While the room had potential, it fell short in cleanliness, showing bits of debris gathering at the edges of the carpet and even dead insects. The coffee and tea amenities were lacking, with a dirty tray and missing coffee sachets-quite disappointing for a couple hoping for a cozy evening. The large bathroom window had no curtain, compromising privacy while using the facilities. We had to get creative with an ironing board and a sheet. Restaurant pricing felt steep, especially with limited main course options and a disappointing vegan choice. We also faced some confusion during the check-in and check-out process, lacking a proper reception area and the sensation of being unexpected guests despite our reservation.
